It is CKC Rally Obedience which is taught here.

Rally is a fun form of obedience where the team of owner and dog heel through a numbered obstacle course to complete a different obedience task at each station. Rally is great for brushing up on obedience skills and also an excellent way to strengthen the bond with your dog.

This is a specialized program where your dog comes to stay with the SMART Dogs for a pre-determined time frame and is trained through a positive reinforcement behavior modification method.

Candidates for this program can be dogs who just come for some basic or intermediate obedience training, manners, build confidence, learn how to socialize with other dogs, or to work on changing a specific behaviour.

Each Board n’ Train Program is uniquely designed, and sensitive to the needs of the individual dog and owner.

with Sammy Mar of SMART Dogs

As lead trainer and behaviorist for SMART Dogs, Sammy specializes in dog-dog communication and has created a Reactive Dog Program to work with dogs who need to learn how to behave appropriately in situations where they currently act out.

This program has had significant successes and many of the graduates are now able to play with other dogs and enjoy themselves.

We have 12 dogs trained to work with reactive dogs, and teach them appropriate dog communication. You will be guided through the process of desensitizing your dog to triggers, using both operant and classical conditioning to achieve the desired behavior change.

Dogs exhibiting fear, biting, anxiety, OCDs, reactivity, aggression and possession are all candidates for Private Behavioral Consultations.

Identification of what is driving the unwanted behavior is key to developing a strategy to modify the dog’s responses.

In a private assessment, an in-depth look is taken into your dog’s behavior to identify triggers that create the inappropriate patterns.

These consultations and individual lessons are available both in your own home and at the facility.

CLASS REGISTRATION

All classes are six weeks unless otherwise posted. Cost is $100 for the course, which is due with registration. Special interest courses or seminars will be posted on Facebook and are individually priced.

All classes have limited capacity, so you must be pre-registered. We do have a waiting list for some classes, so please register as early as you can.

Individual trainers may offer private lessons ranging from $50.00 to $75.00 an hour and depending on their availability.
